Clenergy Releases Short Film on Iconic Installation at QVM

Monday August 22, 2022 at 6:25 pm

AUSTRALIA, Melbourne, 23 August 2022 – Clenergy today released a short film, partnered with JA Solar and SMA Solar, showcasing the City of Melbourne and Queen Victoria Market, here in Melbourne, Australia.

Illustrating the renewable energy project across the Queen Victoria Market’s roofs through McCorkell Constructions and Energy Aware, the film on the iconic installation shows the continued commitment from the City of Melbourne toward the country’s NetZero goals.

“It’s a sign of strength for Clenergy, as we were founded in Melbourne, and to have our products represented at this significant local installation, especially on our 15th Anniversary, gives us a massive sense of pride and recognition”, said Samir Jacob, Global Marketing Manager of Clenergy.

Officially opened on 20 March 1878, the Market has been serving the people of Melbourne for more than 140+ years. The Market has seen many transformations and was added to the National Heritage List in recognition of its links to the early colonial population of Melbourne and its ability to demonstrate the principal characteristics of a 19th-century metropolitan produce market.

Also known affectionately as ‘Vic Market’ or ‘Queen Vic’, Queen Victoria Market has been the heart and soul of Melbourne for more than a century. A historic landmark spread over two city blocks, it is a vibrant and bustling inner-city market with over 600 small businesses for everything, from Australian fruit and vegetables to local and imported gourmet foods, clothing and souvenirs. “We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Kelly Green, the Sustainability Manager at Queen Victoria Market, and the team at Energy Aware for taking our audience on the transformational journey. Together we prove that commercial and government properties should invest in solar energy to reduce their carbon footprint. We hope the film inspires and encourages more stakeholders across governments and corporate enterprises with their green energy decisions.” said Jacob.
